Show Preview - Experience POWER

POWER magazine is again hosting its Experience POWER event, with the 2021 edition taking place Oct. 18–21 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Experience POWER is the only live event this year covering the full energy value chain for the power industry, delivering the best content, and more relevant sessions and technology than any other power generation gathering. This year’s show, co-located with the Distributed Energy Conference and the inaugural HydrogeNext event, will provide attendees with tactics to implement immediately to make power generation facilities and infrastructure more resilient, more reliable, and more profitable, the keys to operating successfully in today’s energy environment. POWER has taken steps to ensure attendees can safely connect (Figure 1) at this in-person conference, providing an opportunity for end-users across the power generation landscape to trade ideas and knowledge, and take part in industry-growing conversations. POWER also is hosting an awards event as part of the conference, where our team will honor the individuals and power generation projects making a difference across the energy landscape, and leading innovation in the sector toward more efficiency, reliability, and resiliency.

This year’s conference features a diverse group of energy executives discussing operations and maintenance strategies, along with detailed plans and policies to update legacy power generation systems and incorporate new methods of electricity production into the nation’s power grid. Paul Browning, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Power Americas, will provide the keynote for the first HydrogeNext event, discussing how increasing the use of hydrogen in the power market is critical to reaching net-zero emissions targets. Vendor representatives will be available to discuss the challenges you face and what capabilities are on the wish list for your facility and business. Attendees will get a firm grasp on the current operating environment for power generation plants, and what solutions will work for your facility. Here’s a look at some of the products and services companies participating in this year’s event are showcasing.
