Combustion Turbine Operations Technical Forum Opens Registration for Spring 2021 Conference

Austin, TX, February 8, 2021 – CTOTF, the Combustion Turbine Operations Technical Forum, has opened registration for its April 12-15, 2021 Virtual Spring Conference.  The conference, entering its 46th year in the power industry, promotes education and user-to-user communication in technical skills needed to operate Combustion Turbine (CT) power plants worldwide.

Unlike other User Group Conferences, CTOTF attendees will listen and learn from engineers and technicians who work with all the major CT machinery, including GE, Siemens, Rolls-Royce and others.  The break-out meetings, known as Roundtables, are user-to-user workshops where operators can share management and engineering insights with each other in a non-commercial setting.

“We’re following up on our 2020 Virtual Conference, which was a great success,” said Jack Borsch, Chairman of CTOTF, “while we are working to return to a Live program in the Fall, our team is focused on delivering an outstanding virtual event for the Spring Conference.”  Borsch also mentioned that nearly all of the Sponsors and User Group attendees from the 2020 event have renewed their membership and registered for the Spring conference.

“In addition to the technical Roundtables, we are increasing our Leadership training session for the  Spring agenda,” Borsch continued, “we are focusing on staff development, diversity and inclusion programs and building a bench of talent to take the power generation industry into the future.”  Programs are planned to help power plant owners, operators and managers develop their employess into effective teams.  Sally Clark, a trainer with All About Talent, will be presenting a highly anticipated session on “Delivering Effective Feedback,” to help power plant managers improve their management and coaching skills.

All general sessions and Roundtables can reported as Continuing Education hours towards advanced  certification in the power generation industry.  In addition, Engineering Schools nationwide have been invited to send their Undergraduate and Graduate majors to the program on a scholarship basis.
