CIRCOR International Acquires Schroedahl – Specialty Valve Company
Supports growth in Power and Process markets
BURLINGTON, Mass.– CIRCOR International, Inc., a leading provider of valves and other highly engineered products for markets including oil & gas, power generation and aerospace & defense, announced the acquisition of Schroedahl, a privately held company headquartered in Germany that develops and manufactures high-quality specialty valves for power stations and industrial plants as well as for production, transport and refining systems in the oil & gas sector. The Schroedahl business will operate as a new business unit within the CIRCOR Energy Group.
Schroedahl, a leading technology player with a talented workforce and a highly recognized brand, has approximately 130 employees, which mostly work at the Schroedahl site near Cologne, Germany. Schroedahl produces custom-engineered high-pressure auto-recirculation (ARC) and control valves for pump protection applications. ARC valves ensure the consistent minimum flow rate of pumps in order to guard against overheating, collapse or destruction. Schroedahl has the leading market position in the ARC valve market and has long-term relationships with pump OEMs.
