EthosEnergy awarded rotor exchange contract in Germany

Mulheim, Germany – EthosEnergy has been awarded a rotor exchange contract at a combined cycle power plant in Germany.

The contract is for the supply of one fully refurbished GE Frame 6B rotor which will be installed at the next scheduled major inspection.

Ulrich Zumbusch, VP of Gas Turbines Europe at EthosEnergy, said “We utilised two of our facilities’ capabilities for this project, we worked using our combined expertise to not only increase the operating time of the turbine by adding a further 100,000 operating hours, but also ensuring we added maximum value to our customer’s plant.

“Our rotor pooling concept along with our capability to manufacture new compressors and turbine discs forms part of our unique rotor life extensions program.”
