Access Intelligence, LLC (AI) announced today it has completed the purchase of RETECH, the world’s premier event for the renewable energy technology industry, and will continue its strategic partnership with the event’s founder, The American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE). The next event will be held Sept. 20-22, 2011, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC (

Designed for business and utility leaders, investors, technology innovators, government officials and university educators, the RETECH 2011 Business Conference will feature more than 250 speakers covering wind, solar, hydro, ocean, geothermal, biomass, biofuels and waste, plus thought provoking sessions on markets, finance and policy. RETECH’s exhibition features more than 200 companies and organizations from all renewable energy sectors. Exhibitors include equipment manufacturers and suppliers, finance and investment firms, research & development companies, project developers and operators, law firms, construction companies, NGOs, trade associations, government agencies, and renewable energy development, equipment and technology companies.

AI began its partnership with ACORE last year when it entered into a joint agreement for the RETECH event, leveraging AI’s expertise in tradeshow management and operations with ACORE’s deep-rooted industry knowledge and connections. RETECH will be part of Access Intelligence’s TradeFair Group under the management of Show Director Hunter Jones. The TradeFair Group produces the Electric Power Exposition, Power
Magazine and EnergyOcean. The acquisition marks Access Intelligence’s continued investment in the energy market.

In 2009, AI also acquired EnergyOcean conference and exposition and launched Clean Energy Daily and, companion products to the award winning newsletter, The Energy Daily.
