Digital Pressure Transducer

The new Heise DXD digital pressure transducer delivers the unique benefits of digital communication at what the manufacturer says is a bargain price. This instrument is now available with a LabVIEW driver and new LabVIEW-based utility software that allows the user to address, configure, and monitor one or more DXDs. The DXD is offered in ranges from vacuum through 7,500 psi and features an accuracy of ±0.02% of full span, which includes the effects of temperature. A 10,000 psi range is also offered at an accuracy of 0.1% FS. With update rates of up to 15 mS, dozens of DXDs can communicate with a single PC serial port at speeds up to 115K bps via full-duplex RS232 or RS485 communication protocol.
