Affordable, smart simulation has been extended to include
broader international code support
for stress analysis & sizing of piping systems

16 October 2018.  PSRE Co., the leading developer of smart simulation and sizing tools for every piping and equipment engineer/designer, is pleased to announce the recently released version 4.83 of PASS/START-PROF. This new version contains significantly broader support of international standards for stress analysis & sizing of piping systems.

PASS/START-PROF has been extended to include support of the following international standards:

  • ASME B31.1-2016 Power Piping
  • ASME B31.3-2016 Process Piping
  • ASME B31.4-2016 Liquid Transportation
  • ASME B31.5-2016 Refrigeration Piping and Heat Transfer
  • ASME B31.8-2016 Gas Transmission
  • ASME B31.9-2014 Building Services Piping
  • EN 13480-2017 Metallic Industrial Piping
  • Chinese GB 50251-2015, GB 50253-2014, GB/T 20801-2006, GB 50316-2008 for Gas and Oil pipelines, Process and Metallic Industrial piping

Version 4.83 of PASS/START-PROFalso includes the ability to use new ASME B31J-2017 code for SIF and k-factor calculations with all ASME, EN, DL/T, GB and GB/T codes.

This version of PASS/START-PROF also extends piping support database delivered with the program – variable springs and constant load springs from ANVIL, Pipe Supports Ltd, Carpenter & Paterson Ltd, and SEONGHWA were added to program database.

This new PASS/START-PROF version was demonstrated at the PSRE Co booth during the 34th International CAE Conference and Exhibition, 8 – 9 October 2018, in Vicenza, Italy.
