PCL Construction Celebrates 10 Years on FORTUNE’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” List

HOUSTON, TX, (March 5, 2015) – FORTUNE magazine has named PCL Construction to its “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for the 10th consecutive year. PCL, a top general contractor in North America, ranked 67 on the list this year. PCL is one of two commercial construction firms on the list.

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized on FORTUNE’s ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ list for the 10th year in a row,” said Shaun Yancey, president and COO of US Operations. “I am so proud to be a part of the PCL family. The passion and commitment of our employees are unsurpassed and tell a great deal about who we are as a company.”

PCL has consecutively made FORTUNE’s  “100 Best Companies to Work For” list since 2005 because of the organization’s array of benefits and dynamic culture. PCL has a unique employee-ownership model and offers employees extensive wellness and professional development programs, all of which contributed to this year’s ranking. In addition to providing a comprehensive benefits package, PCL encourages and supports work-life balance for all employees through a flexible working schedule, gym reimbursement, and employee wellness programs, along with opportunities to participate in celebrations and company events throughout the year.

“I enjoy working here because of the challenging work and supportive environment, which allows employees at all levels to thrive,” said Stacey Bledsoe, PCL’s director of Human Resource Services for PCL in the US. “I am proud to call myself part of the PCL family.”

FORTUNE partners annually with Great Place to Work® to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America to identify the 100 Best Companies to Work For ®. Two-thirds of a company’s survey score is based on the results of the Trust Index © Employee Survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. This survey asks questions related to employees’ attitudes about management’s credibility, overall job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The other third is based on responses to the Culture Audit ©, which includes detailed questionnaires about pay and benefit programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.
