Novel Technology Featured at ELECTRIC POWER Event

The 20th annual ELECTRIC POWER Conference and Exhibition wrapped up on March 22. The event included nearly 200 exhibitors, with many offering interesting demonstrations of innovative new products. A sampling of some are presented below.

Deep Trekker Inc. supplies high-quality, commercial-grade, remotely operated vehicles—underwater drones—specifically designed and developed to make underwater observation easy and affordable. It offers an extensive selection of submersible robots with cameras that are portable, easy to use, and require no maintenance.

Everlasting Valve Co.’s self-lapping, rotating disc valve actually improves with use. While other metal-sealed valves wear out over time, the seal in the Everlasting Valve gets tighter and stronger as it wears in. As the valve opens and closes, the disc rotates incrementally, uniformly polishing away scratches and creating an ever-tightening seal.

Boiler drum level measurement systems can indicate incorrectly due to density differences between the water inside the drum and the water contained in external gauge lines and indicators. R-Levels’ boiler drum level measurement system includes a unique design that solves that problem.

The ELECTRIC POWER Conference and Exhibition will be held at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada, next year April 23–26.
