US Leaders in Energy, Utility, and Environment to Speak at EUEC 2011 in Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – January 9, 2011 – Representatives from the nation’s top energy agencies and organizations including EPA, DOE, EPRI and leading energy companies will make presentations at EUEC 2011, the USA’s largest energy, utility, and environment conference, to be held at the Phoenix Convention Center from January 31 through February 2, 2011.

EUEC 2011 is the first national energy, utility, and environment conference since the EPA announced its plans to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emission standards for fossil fuel power plants in the U.S. This is also the first climate conference in the U.S. following the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference (COP16) held in Cancún, Mexico. Developments in both of these areas will be leading topics of discussion at EUEC 2011.

The plenary session opens the conference on Monday, January 31. Following the plenary session, more than 600 of the world’s leading experts will speak on diverse topics in 12-track program agenda: clean air policy, legislation and technologies; multi-pollutant control; energy and climate policy; wind, solar, and electric vehicles; carbon markets and carbon capture and storage; corporate GHG strategies; biofuels, biomass, and biogas; sustainability and reliability; energy efficiency and management; renewable energy; and operations and management. The conference ends on Wednesday, February 2.Over 12 networking lunches, receptions and breaks are held in the EUEC 2011 Exhibition hall from Monday, January 31 through Wednesday, February 2. This offers excellent marketing opportunities with the 1,500 registered delegates networking in a 150-company exhibits area.

New for EUEC 2011 is the Investor Forum, an exclusive project financing forum that connects established companies with proven renewable energy and clean technologies with top financial institutions, to be held on Sunday, January 30. The Investor Forum is open to all registered delegates of EUEC. Selected companies make closed door presentations to EUEC’s top investor community including energy infrastructure funds, venture capitalists, angel investors, and financial institutions.

Networking events will tip off after the Investor Forum on Sunday, January 30, with the Chairman’s Welcome Reception and NBA Basketball Game when the Phoenix Suns take on the New Orleans Hornets. Individual tickets and hospitality suites are available.
