Ansaldo Energia awarded Long Term Service Agreements for other-OEM gas turbine power plants in the Russian Federation

Yuzhnouralskaya GRES, a branch of Inter RAO Electrogeneration JSC, awarded to Ansaldo Energia a 5 years Long Term Service Agreement for their Yuzhnouralskaya GRES-2 combined cycle power plant, which is located approximately 100 kilometers south of Chelyabinsk, Russia.

Commissioned in November 2014, the 430 MW power plant has two Siemens SGT5-4000F gas turbines, two Siemens SGEN5-2000H generators and two Siemens SST5-3000 steam turbines in one-on-one single shaft configuration. The maintenance agreement covers all this equipment.

Another 5 years Long Term Service Agreement was recently awarded to Ansaldo Energia by OAO Fortum for its Tyumen CHP-1 combined cycle power plant. Located in Tyumen in Western Siberia, this combined heat and power plant has one Siemens SGT-1000F (V64.3A) and one Ansaldo Energia AE64.3A gas turbine.

These contracts represent a continuation of Ansaldo Energia’s service business growth in Russia, which now includes more than 20 gas turbines under contract in the past five years alone. It also confirms the customer’s confidence in Ansaldo Energia’s flexibility and capabilities in servicing other manufacturers’ power generation equipment.

“These results,” comments CEO Filippo Abba’, “confirm our growth strategy in the service sector and the importance we attach to a country like the Russian Federation, where Ansaldo Energia Group will continue to develop and expand its local subsidiary company, Ansaldo Energia Russia, strengthening our commitment to Russian customers.”
