National Steel City – Ready For Natural Gas Fired Generation

National Steel City (NSC), one of the nation’s leading steel and power industry equipment installation construction companies, is effectively positioned to support the surge in Utility market growth from Natural Gas-Fired projects.

Natural Gas-Fired Generation has been projected to increase by 3 to 4 percent a year for the next 10-plus years. Many of the new Natural Gas-Fired plants will utilize dry cooling technology known as Air Cooled Condensers (ACCs).

“NSC brings a proven and demonstrated track record of safe and successful erection of more than 260 ACC cells nationwide, and we look forward to meeting the demand for future ACC erection needs,” said NSC Chief Executive Officer Bob Dunn.

Dunn added that, in addition to ACC installations, NSC also has erected Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) with associated pipe racks, the setting of turbine generator equipment and the erection of turbine buildings.

With offices in Plymouth, Mich., and Birmingham, Ala., NSC proudly serves the Power, Industrial and Commercial Industries.

As a testament to NSC’s commitment to safety earlier this year, NSC earned Southern Company’s coveted Triangle Safety Award. NSC sets the standard with industry safety statistics for 2013 well below the industry average: EMR 0.68, TRIR 1.02, DART 0.00.
