Infrastrutture S.p.A. completes innovative solar photovoltaic plant in Japan

Kumagaya, Saitama, April 10th 2017 Hergo Japan G.K., a subsidiary of Infrastrutture Group, selected by Mega Solar Power Committee of Kumagaya Municipality, Saitama Prefecture, completes solar photovoltaic plant of 3,5 MW in Japan.

After the great earthquake and with the launch of the Renewable policies of the Japanese government in the last few years Infrastrutture S.p.A. and its subsidiary Hergo Japan G.K. have worked hard to develop clean energy plants, in several prefectures like Saitama, Chiba, Fukushima, and particularly in wind and photovoltaic sector. Japan is the “land of the rising sun” and the close link to the sun is also represented in the Japanese flag called Hinomaru (sun disk), white with a red disc in the center.

“The Kumagaya plant is an example of excellence and innovation in energy production in which we addressed important technical challenges that have met with the approval of local authorities. We are very pleased that after winning a public tender in 2013, our investment is now in operation.

We are also proud to have had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the major Japanese players in the renewable industry. ” – commented Pier Francesco Rimbotti – CEO of Infrastrutture S.p.A.

The ceremony was attended by many personalities including Mr. Shimano Masashi, Deputy Mayor of the city of Kumagaya, Mr. Giorgio Starace, Ambassador of Italy in Japan, representatives of Saitama Prefecture, the Institute of Foreign Trade (ICE) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
