Understanding equipment methods used for Arc Flash Mitigation
An arc flash event can be initiated either by equipment failure or human error. The most prevalent cause is human error. Some statistics indicate that 65 percent of these incidents occur while a person is working on the equipment and that only 25 percent occur while no one is around it.
