Jacobs Wins Coal Ash Consulting Contract for City Utilities of Springfield, Mo.

PASADENA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today it received a contract to provide analysis and consulting services regarding the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) finalized regulations on coal combustion residuals (CCR) to City Utilities of Springfield, Missouri.

The contract, with a maximum value of approximately $4.9 million, has a base period of three years followed by two three-year options. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is expected to support a comprehensive compliance approach to address landfills and surface impoundments impacted by the new EPA rule. Professional services include site planning, geophysical and environmental investigations, compliance recommendations and development of control plans.
