Curtiss-Wright Receives the First ASME III Division 5, Class A & B Certification for Design and Fabrication of Metallic Components for Use in High Temperature Advanced Reactor and Small Modular Reactor Designs

BREA, CA ­­ – Curtiss-Wright’s Nuclear Division announced today that its Middleburg Heights, Ohio facility has received a Certificate of Authorization from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for the design and fabrication of ASME III Division 5, Class A & B appurtenances. Curtiss-Wright is the first organization to obtain this certification which allows the company to design and fabricate metallic components for use in construction of high temperature reactors and their supporting systems, including Advanced Reactor (AR) and Small Module Reactor (SMR) designs.
