Semi-Automated Tube Bundle Cleaner

Part of a family of automated and semi-automated tube-cleaning accessories, the new Saflex 2000 makes tube bundle cleaning more productive because it can clean four times as many tubes in a given period as manual water jetting, says NLB Corp. Operating at pressures up to 40,000 psi, the semi-automated accessory cleans two tubes (ranging from 4 mm to 15 mm in diameter) at once, on both the in- and out-strokes. The operator simply positions the flex lances at the tube openings and pushes buttons on the hand lance to feed them in and out at rates of up to 0.6 m/second. Alternatively, the lances can be automatically positioned with an optional X-Y positioner using wireless controls that let the operator stand clear of the action.
