Call for Nominations
Each year we ask our readers to nominate a pioneering project based on the application of advanced equipment designs, environmental stewardship, and competitive business practices, regardless of technology, size, or location in three categories:
• The Power Plant of the Year Award will be presented to a plant that leads our industry in the successful deployment of advanced technology, maximizing efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. In short, the Power Plant of the Year is the best in class over the past year.
• The Marmaduke Award, named after the legendary plant troubleshooter whose fictional exploits have been chronicled in POWER since 1948, recognizes operations and maintenance excellence at existing power plants.
• Top Plants Awards recognize outstanding plants over the past year in each of four categories: combined-cycle, coal-fired, nuclear, and renewable projects. Winning plants may be exemplary in any number of ways that provide a model for their peers. The winners will be selected by the editors of POWER based on nominations submitted by you and your industry peers—suppliers, designers, constructors, and operators of power plants.
