Twistin' in the wind

An anthem for global warming skeptics, with apologies to Bob Dylan, a great American poet and winner of the 2008 Pulitzer Prize (which is more than Ross Gelbspan can legitimately claim).

Twistin’ in the Wind

How many years must the climate cool down

Before you can pass on Al Gore?

Yes, ‘n’ how many boffins must reject the crowd

Before you can say ‘no more’?

Yes, ‘n’ how many flaws must the skeptics expose

Before you end the science bore?

The answer, my friend, is found in the facts,

And that’s what the modelers lack.

How many times can the record show

That earlier work was screwed?

Yes, ‘n’ how many journal articles are wrong

Before they can shown to be skewed?

Yes, ‘n’ how many stations are known off-scale

Before they can’t count in the stew?

The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the facts,

The answers the modelers lack.
